Ain't That A Bitch!

This is soooo bad, I had to make myself a drink before I posted the pictures!

I was driving home and the neighbor stopped me to chat...he had a new filly last week and he thought I might like to see her...well duh!!  Of course I did.  As I gazed into the stall at the filly who may either go gray or roan Glenns dog chewed on my pants and shoe laces.  I love babies!!  Then he had a customer arrive to pick up some hay so off I went.  I hopped into my pickup and called Mindy as I drove home.  As I crested the hill I told Mindy you are not going to believe what I am seeing...  Below is the up close of what I saw as I drove up the road...  I sent her a few cell pictures to hold her over until I could get this posted!!  Enjoy the Land Lords newest mistery...

Looks like it had a wee bit of a problem with being root bount...then we got a bunch of rain and wind...and TIMBER!!
As rotten as it may sound...thank God it wasn't my trailer!!  ( :  The Land Lord can afford a new, not so much!

Made Me Smile!!

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

This and That

My mom went to the hospital with pneumonia last week, my dad was out of town working...somewhere where there is no cellular service!!  Gasp!!  So I've spent the last two weeks running between her house and mine.... It sucked...after this weekend life will be back to normal.  Thank God!!  Chad and I were unable to go and see Mindy and the baby.  ) :  Good news is Mindy and the baby came to see mom on Thursday, so Chad and  I are headed to the parents house tomorrow to see to follow!!  ( :

Chad and I made an offer on a house.  Its a had broken pipes, a busted toilet, a missing master bath tub...missing appliances and is a house that we would never be able to afford if it weren't in this condition.  We made an offer, the bank gave  verbal acceptance...they told the representing agents to turn on the power for the home inspection...and the dip shits didn't make sure the water was turned off before they turned on the power.  Hmmm...nice, all of the broken pipes and missing things were disclosed, so they should have known better!!!  Neighbor lady walking dog sees water pouring out of f-ing kidding.  Real Estate agents were supposed to have taken pictures to send to bank so that the bank could put a claim in on their insurance policy and work on it in some manner.  It needed some TLC before, it needs a lot more TLC now...

Talked to Mario...Fiona and Sally are slotted to appear at his place on the first of May.  Oh, I am soooo excited to get these girls started!!  I would also like to get some new pictures of Fi, but the weather is not letting me get it done!  Ugh!  Love to see the roany pony shed off!!  She is stunning...I think!  ( :  Can't wait to get her back going under saddle!!

Also got myself signed up to got to Charmayne James clinic in Lewiston in July!  I don't really have a horse running a pattern...but Mindy has two!  So I Will borrow one!  ( :  Or...maybe Tari or Fi and I will be trotting/loping a pattern by then and we can go in the Kindergarten class!  Either way I am there!!  Mindy and I are going to have SOOO much FUN!!  Yippppeeeeee!!!

Public Service Announcement From Chad

I am a spaz.  I know it, and so does anyone who spends much time around me.  I just can't seem to overcome it.  Chad loves to push my spaz button and watch me spin.  So about two weeks ago Chad asks me if I knew there was actually a syndrome called the Crazy Cat Lady Syndrome.

Of course I called bullshit on he is constantly making fun of me for the way I treat M-Kitty.  Shes my sista...hahaa!  Just kidding, but she is a good old cat that will kill ANYTHING smaller than she is.  That's pretty handy living where mice will enter without an invite.

So after calling bullshit on him, I called my sister.  My REAL sister Mindy and asked her if she had herd of it.  She said that she hadn't, but I had better find out if her was lying to me...she didn't want her baby to get it as she has two inside/outside cats, and that would just be her luck.

So I Googled it and found this.

I called Mindy and read it to her...she then spazzed out.

We then found solace in the fact that cat pee still really smells bad to us, and decided to just disinfect more.  And not to worry as long as we can smell cat urine we ARE NOT Crazy Cat Ladies!!

I mentioned to Chad later on that I had found out that he really wasn't me, and there was an actual syndrome known as the Crazy Cat Lady Syndrome, not just something he made up to make me wonder...  He laughed at me and told me he really doesn't push my buttons as much as I think he does...uh, whatever!!

He then tells me he found it because he was reading about Na no Technologies.  Really?  Yeah, really....he likes reading on stuff that makes my head for all of you smarties out there, here is Chad's reason for bringing up the Crazy Cat Lady Syndrome...tadaaa!!

This lovely little PSA was brought about by my husband looking over my shoulder this morning as I posted about M-Kitty...  He was wandering around the shop calling me Crazy Cat Lady.  But I assure everyone I am I mentioned urine still stinks, so I am fine!!

And What Did You Have For Breakfast?

Our alarm goes off at 4:15 a.m. Mon.-Fri....just because it goes off then doesn't necessarily mean we get up then, but we are always out of bed by 4:30 and out the door before 5:15 a.m.

Our cats sleep in their own bedroom, because they won't leave us alone while we sleep.  M-Kitty will bite and scratch you if she feels the need to wake you for a petting.  Its not a good way to wake up, trust me.  She also has a bad habit of wanting to sleep on my chest...its all well and good for her, but not so much for me.  Sooo they got to bed every night in their own room.

Once out of bed Chad makes the coffee, lets the cats our of their room, and then puts the dogs out.  After I get out of the shower I let the dogs in and M-Kitty usually goes outside.  She will either spend the entire day out or wait for us to leave the house and then shoot inside where she will stay until we get home.

Why you ask, do I tell you this useless information.  Well, because on Tuesday of last week M-Kitty shot in and dropped a large dead mole in the middle of the kitchen floor by Chad's foot.  I told him what an honor it was for M-Kitty to have brought him fresh breakfast before work...he mocked me, then grabbed a paper towel and picked up the still warm limp body of the mole...

He then reached out and petted her while saying, "Thank you."  She squawked back to him and went to take her place on the back of the couch...  Crazy old cat.  Guess that's why we lover her.

Wonder if she will bring me something to eat this week!  ( :

Finally it's dry enough I can get my burn pile going!!

Just a bunch of old fencing from last was too dry to burn at that time...

...but the first day of Spring was Perfect for burning the old poles and posts!

I was too lazy to get out the tractor and push my pile...

So I will finish my burning tomorrow while we are replacing some more fence!  ( :

Doesn't this look kinda like an evil snake?  ( :

This may be my favorite of ALL the fire pics I took!  ( ;

Food For Thought!

"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years building, others could destroy overnight. Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway"

Here Kitty Kitty!!

I would like to think that I am pretty tollerant of my animals being animals.  But I do like the thought of the furry little monsters following some rules with or without my beady little eyes peering at them...

When I came home from work last week and found that Lucifer had broken the one rule that MUST be followed in my house...  He got what comes to animals who get into the trash here...

Tossed outside.  Not for good, but now from the time I go to work until the time I return from work...he is now an outside kitty.

He found it not so fun.  Oh, too bad!  He is getting the hang of it now, but doesn't wander far from the house and puffs up like a dandylion whenever anything "strange" happens.  Pussy...oops, did I say that...?  Chad now wants to take it a step farther and make him an outside when and if we get a new home...  Poor little Lucifer...

I Have Never Liked The Phrase...

Heart Horse...

Don't ask me why.  I don't know.  Never have, never will.

So I this is the most important horse I will ever have owned.

My only regret in the 21 years I owned her was that I didn't get more digital pictures of her.

I have no idea why I felt the need to post this today...but I did!

I think of her everytime I horse will ever be as good as she was....

Off to house a mini spring blizzard.  Yippppeeee!!

So, How Is The House Hunting Going?

To be honest with sucks.  It sucks on many, many, many different levels.
Level 1:  You are employed where?  Oh, you are self employed...well sorry, we don't care about your credit score or that your business has made money the last 4 years.  We want someone else's signature on your pay check.  Please find another lender.  Thank you and kiss my a$$.
Level 2:  Economy on the rocks...well that doesn't stop these North Idaho Crackpots from listing a manufactured home on 10 acres for $250,000.  Oh, did I mention that you hear deliverance music when you drive into the neighborhood?  I probably failed to mention the crack running from the outside wall of the bathroom clear across the ceiling and nearly hitting the other side of the place.  Oh, probably should mention the crack was as wide as one you would see on "People of Wal-Mart".  Many, many over priced homes in various states of disrepair.
Level 3:  Kootenai county sucks, we want out...but not too far off the beaten path as we want to move us, the nags, and the business...and there are services that our biz needs to operate....
Level 4:  Can Chad and I agree on anything?  Uh, maybe...  ( :

As a recap of a few things...we started looking at properties in October of 2009.  We have probably seen 25 or so.  We have had interruptions in our shopping, some out of our control others not so much.  We really are open to a lot of different types of properties and have tried not to discriminate.
Well that is not entirely true.  I am doing my best to discriminate against all properties with a brown trout pond.  (Technically referred to as a sewer lagoon.)  I can just see Abbi and Kage after a nice round of ball taking a dip in human feces.  Uh, no thank you!!

We are looking at anything in the 7 plus acre range as long as they have a dwelling and a shop larger than a tool shed.  Now you would be surprised at what a listing agent will call a will also be surprised at how poorly some people measure.  Luckily, Chad can eyeball closer than many people can measure with a tape.  Once we get there...we are looking at who maintains the roads and...drum roll please.... 3 phase power.

We have found a few that we liked, but the 3 phase power was no where in sight.  FYI, to run 3 phase power to a structure is on average $150 per foot.
Then we found a place that had 3 phase very close, but we would still have to run it.  Liked the house, liked the shop, liked the area...made offer.  Offer was countered.  We countered the counter.  They countered our counter.  We walked.  They wouldn't move on the price...they wouldn't give us anything.  For the PREMIUM price they were asking, all we would get is the key to the doors.  Really?  Our real estate agent called and check on the house this week.  Guess how many times it had been shown?  16.  Guess how many offers?  Just ours.  Hmmmmm...wonder if they want too much?

We found another house we liked.  It had CCnR's.  Guess how many of them we would have violated?  Uh, like half of the 8.  Nice.
For the record...we own several guns....we like to shoot our guns.  We LOVE to own guns.  We don't hunt, but feel like they may come in handy for uh...I don't know protection....also it's our rights as Americans to own them.  And if I live in a semi-rural area, and own the property I am on...and follow all of the safety guidelines and am not a careless a$$hole, I should be able to fire my weapon whenever I feel it necessary.  I simply refuse to live where I cannot.  End of storey.

So we are taking tomorrow off from work.  Because being self employed means working Saturdays and sometimes even Sundays...  But we are committed to getting off of the Ranch before we get full swing into fencing, fertilizing, and general farm work.  It would be nice to do all of that at our own home, not at the land lords.  We have a list of 6 homes to cover.  I will be hoping for the best and trying to be on my best behavior with Chad....and God knows that's not easy!!  ( :

Unfortunately for us, we will only be looking at 2 properties that are outside of Kootenai County.  I of course will hope that one of these will be the "one".  We will not know until getting to each of the properties if they have 3 phase power on or near them...that sucks.  It would save us a lot of driving if we could call the respective power companies and just ask...but you can't.  Oh, well!!  ( :

We will make an offer on anything that is close to what we are looking for.  A few odds and ends can be fixed or overlooked...but like everyone else...  WE WANT A GOOD DEAL DAMN IT!!  ( :

Oh, and I want my $8000 tax credit too!!  LOL!!

Hope that's not too angry!! WHHAAAHaahahahahaaaaa!!!
