Bay Breeze Found A Home

It wasn't just Sally that I hauled over from the coast this last weekend, I also loaded up Bay Breeze in my horse trailer!

Mindy advertised and networked for quite some time trying to find someone who wanted this mare.
She entertained several "tire kickers" along with a few people who were truly interested in this mare.  And as luck/fate/life would have it, it ended up being our cousin who wanted Bay Breeze.

Now I am not going to sugar coat it, we were hoping that Bay Breeze would go somewhere that she would have a baby that was destined for the barrel pen or even the track.  But instead our Girl Cousin is taking Bay Breeze to be a friend for her old mare Mare AND to make a long legged pack mule.  **Shudder**Head shake**Sigh**

Bay Breeze is going to be on the get plumper diet and the date book with a Jack sometime in May.  Our girl cousin already has a soon to be 2 year old john mule gelding out of this Mammoth Jack that she adores and can't wait for another.  Crazy girl.

The important part is that Bay Breeze has a good home.  A forever home with someone who loves old mares!

And it has also been agreed upon that if Girl Cousin can't for some reason keep Bay Breeze she will be returned to Mindy.  So all in all, I think it's a happy ending for Bay Breeze, EVEN if she has to have a mule baby!  (0:
