After Two Weeks of Feeding Her Up

This is Fiona on June 23, 2015.

And the before...

It's not great, but I'm pretty sure I see improvement where her spine ties into her hips.

Now...

And the before....

More improvement...  To me.

And just some various shots of her and Horse Girl acting like their brains vacated their heads while Chad target shoots with the BB Gun.
In some she looks better, in others she looks worse...

In all of them though, she is agile, alert, and enjoying herself, despite the ridiculous amount of biting gnats that we are experiencing right now.

And they finally convinced Kase's mini horse/pony to run from the sound too...
But it took a while, she is her own "person".

She does look a little better- it takes about a month before you can see a real difference.
Have you tried a smudge pot for the bugs?

She does look a bit better, but wowo what a change from the gal she was last summer. Makes you wonder what the heck caused that weight loss and why it's taking so long for her to put it back on. Probably one of those things that you'll never have an answer for unfortunately.

I went back and read your post about the vet recommendation and feeds. Just a couple thoughts. I read an article recently that said feeding fat is good for putting weight on horses however they can take up to a month to switch over from utilizing carbs for energy to using fat. So you might see her start to bloom a little in another couple of weeks. There have been a few studies about feeding underweight horses and the results conclusively showed that feeding alfalfa was the most effective over grass/grain and that alfalfa hay over pellets was best. Also, do you have her on a good quality probiotic/digestive supplement? No matter what you feed, if the horse can not digest it properly it can not utilize the nutrient. An imbalance in the hind gut can effect weight (gut sounds and stool can look normal). I highly recommend Smart Digest Ultra by smartpak especially as you recently wormed (which can effect the gut) and introduced new feed and increased grain (all effect the gut). Smartdigest is not just a probiotic it also has psyllium and herbs that can ease digestion.

(I am in no way affiliated with smartpak, just like the product:)
Good luck with her! Sounds like she is in good hands:)
