Wyatt's Easter Pic...

Too young for any chocolate or egg hunting...so napping seemed the best choice for the day!!
Next year, next year will be far wilder!!  ( :

Hippity Hop

We started out by looking for the Easter Bunny on Sunday morning...unfortunately, Kage and Abbi found him first and put the run on him before I could get any chocolate eggs...  Oh, well...my waistline is in need of a caloric intake reduction.  That is something I will be working on beginning this week...lovely!

After finding the dogs had run off the Easter Bunny, Chad and I decided to get down to the nitty gritty of getting the tree off of the horse trailer.

In the beginning, the peanut gallery wasn't the least bit interested in what we were doing.  The weather has been awful here of late, so they enjoyed themselves in the sun and just give us an ear here and there depending on the noises coming from our side of the pasture.  It was nice to be able to get some things done without their noses in my back.

So we let the chainsaw loose!

We also got the tractor involved...it was all the tractor could do to move this larger portion of the tree.  It bogged down not too much farther down the road.  So we made our "log deck" there.  It will be easy for the land lord to saw up for fire wood this summer.  I suspect this could be some of the most expensive fire wood he has ever burned!!  (He has checked with the insurence company and the horse trailer isn't covered!!)

The tree landed squarely on this post...it drove it down into the ground about 4 1/2 to 5 ft into the ground.  The nail you can see held on the top rail of the fence.  Pretty interesting...the hole isn't oblong or molested in any way...  Oh, the power of Mother Nature!!  ( :

Towards the end of our work day the smallest members of the peanut gallery decided it was time to come over and give their two cents worth.  I just love these two criminals!!

Of course the larger nuts were soon to follow!!

The gallery got a little goofy when we pulled the last bit of tree through the hole on the fence...all in a days work!!

This is the end result for today.  We still have some clean up to do, fence to replace, and we need to figure out how to get the tree from its root bundle and the top of the trailer.  Next weekend maybe we can get the majority of that handled.  I will work on the clean up after work everyday until its done.  No reason to rush it!!  ( :

Ain't That A Bitch!

This is soooo bad, I had to make myself a drink before I posted the pictures!

I was driving home and the neighbor stopped me to chat...he had a new filly last week and he thought I might like to see her...well duh!!  Of course I did.  As I gazed into the stall at the filly who may either go gray or roan Glenns dog chewed on my pants and shoe laces.  I love babies!!  Then he had a customer arrive to pick up some hay so off I went.  I hopped into my pickup and called Mindy as I drove home.  As I crested the hill I told Mindy you are not going to believe what I am seeing...  Below is the up close of what I saw as I drove up the road...  I sent her a few cell pictures to hold her over until I could get this posted!!  Enjoy the Land Lords newest mistery...

Looks like it had a wee bit of a problem with being root bount...then we got a bunch of rain and wind...and TIMBER!!
As rotten as it may sound...thank God it wasn't my trailer!!  ( :  The Land Lord can afford a new trailer...me, not so much!

Made Me Smile!!

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

This and That

My mom went to the hospital with pneumonia last week, my dad was out of town working...somewhere where there is no cellular service!!  Gasp!!  So I've spent the last two weeks running between her house and mine.... It sucked...after this weekend life will be back to normal.  Thank God!!  Chad and I were unable to go and see Mindy and the baby.  ) :  Good news is Mindy and the baby came to see mom on Thursday, so Chad and  I are headed to the parents house tomorrow to see them...pictures to follow!!  ( :

Chad and I made an offer on a house.  Its a foreclosure...it had broken pipes, a busted toilet, a missing master bath tub...missing appliances and is a house that we would never be able to afford if it weren't in this condition.  We made an offer, the bank gave  verbal acceptance...they told the representing agents to turn on the power for the home inspection...and the dip shits didn't make sure the water was turned off before they turned on the power.  Hmmm...nice, all of the broken pipes and missing things were disclosed, so they should have known better!!!  Neighbor lady walking dog sees water pouring out of house...no f-ing kidding.  Real Estate agents were supposed to have taken pictures to send to bank so that the bank could put a claim in on their insurance policy and work on it in some manner.  It needed some TLC before, it needs a lot more TLC now...

Talked to Mario...Fiona and Sally are slotted to appear at his place on the first of May.  Oh, I am soooo excited to get these girls started!!  I would also like to get some new pictures of Fi, but the weather is not letting me get it done!  Ugh!  Love to see the roany pony shed off!!  She is stunning...I think!  ( :  Can't wait to get her back going under saddle!!

Also got myself signed up to got to Charmayne James clinic in Lewiston in July!  I don't really have a horse running a pattern...but Mindy has two!  So I Will borrow one!  ( :  Or...maybe Tari or Fi and I will be trotting/loping a pattern by then and we can go in the Kindergarten class!  Either way I am there!!  Mindy and I are going to have SOOO much FUN!!  Yippppeeeeee!!!
